Hoist Training

Our comprehensive hoist training programme can be provided for individuals or groups with one or more hoists. Training can be organised on your premises at a time that is convenient for you and your organisation. Training is usually provided with your own hoists and slings, however, hoists and slings can be provided for training sessions if required.

Manual Handling Training

Disability Hoist Hire provide manual handling training tailored to your individual needs. This training normally includes hoist training but the inclusion of hoist training is not compulsory. Training can be adapted to suit the needs of your workplace and the tasks that are carried out on or off your premises. Disability Hoist Hire can provide this legally required training for a range of individuals from carers to office workers to construction workers.

Areas covered can be tailored to meet your needs. Areas commonly covered include; basic spinal anatomy and biomechanics, types and mechanisms of manual handling injuries, the identification and reduction of risks during work practices and the demonstration and practice of basic handling techniques.

Risk assessments and risk assessment reports can be provided by Disability Hoist Hire. These assessments and reports can outline the potential risks involved in hoisting and transfers and make recommendations regarding safe methods of transferring and positioning individuals.
